how are your new year's resolutions holding up these first days of february? mine were a bit bumpy throughout january, but they are beginning to take form. this year i am quite serious about keeping these promises to myself, and i'll admit they are more selfish than past years of resolutions such as being more generous to others, donating to those in need, etc. now that those past promises are now engrained in my way of living, this year it is time for me to put dreams into action and make things work for
ME. one of my commitments involves zeroing in on the best way to run lumi vintage, and planning an indoor space in which i can photograph vintage gems year round! another extremely important resolution is focused on vastly improving my health. to be honest, i'm kind of a health nut as it is. but there is so much to learn, and so many ways to improve energy, mind, and body! one thing i have done to begin a more detailed path of health is using my juicer more often. recently, i made a delicious apple, orange, ginger, and kale juice, and i wanted to share the idea and recipe with you all. please enjoy!
RECIPE (for two glasses)
*it can be somewhat difficult to get specific with juice recipes because different sizes of fruits as well as the effect of different juicing machines, so use your own judgement and make little changes to suit your taste buds! additional ways to flavor your juice include honey (preferably raw) and lemon juice.
- 4 large oranges with peels cut off
- 2 handfuls of chopped kale
- 5 small apples
- 1 inch of ginger root with peel cut off
wishing you health, happiness, and endless love for vintage clothing.
