SNOW DAY

the best part about when it snows? i would say when it catches you by surprise. after waking in the wee hours of the morning to do some work, i looked out my windows to see GIANT flakes pouring down. instant mood booster. when i finished up, it was pretty much about time to declare a snow day. or, as it turns out when it's freezing cold, a snow hour. i piled on a cozy heart-patterned sweater dress and a thick 1960s coat, laced my trusty boots, and threw on my hat and scarf before heading out with dawn and phoenix, our pup. we headed to a nearby park where i could relive my childhood snow days, prancing and kicking about, and phoenix was able to fetch to his heart's content (he only likes fetching sticks when he can see them in snow-lazy much?). no matter the length of time outside, my snow day has been damn good.
